Lang Mia Xiao is an art historian specializing in Buddhist art, Archaeology Art, and Chinese art. Continuing the research from the cross-cultural perspective, establishing a link between the contemporary world with ancient cultural heritage.
Ms. Xiao earned an M.Phil. Degree in Fiber Engineering at Soochow University, after that, she finished her study at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and got a Ph.D. Degree.Ms. Xiao worked as the leader of the Painting and Calligraphy Team at the Shenzhen Museum from 2018 to 2020, focusing on exhibitions and research on Chinese painting. Since 2020, She has been an assistant professor at Shenzhen University, and she has also worked with leading museums, research institutions, and cultural and religious organizations, such as Shanghai University, Qingzhou Museum, Feng Zikai Research Founding, and others.
Ms. Xiao's work involves educating, researching, curating, and managing arts and culture projects. She has accomplished many exciting projects in her career, such as promoting museums and collections and curating exhibitions on various themes. Her approach to work combines theory, object, experience, and emotion.
Ms. Xiao has helped organize Government Enterprise Architecture Design (museums), served as an Academic Advisor, and translated papers by leading scholars in the field, in addition to her own research and curatorial work.
Ms. Xiao will continue to promote Chinese art and culture, as well as cultural exchange, in the coming years in collaboration with like-minded individuals and organizations.
